What you should expect at Mt. Lookout Chiropractic & Sports Injury Center

Mt. Lookout Chiropractic & Sports Injury Center’s comprehensive approach to sports injuries makes us the best choice to treat your sports injury.

Our goal is to not only fix your injury but concurrently work to prevent future injuries.

First, the doctors perform a thorough history and examination to determine the diagnosis and treatment plan. At Mt. Lookout Chiropractic & Sports Injury Center, our holistic approach includes treatment that focuses on the specific injury and evaluating the entire musculoskeletal system to discover any contributing factors related to your injury.

For example, our approach to a sports injury to the knee involves a thorough evaluation and treatment of the foot, ankle, hip, and pelvis.

Another example is a sports injury of the shoulder will often involve an evaluation of the cervical/neck and thoracic/mid-back.

We offer state-of-the-art treatment options including specific spine and extremity joint manipulation/adjustments, cutting edge rehabilitation programs, varied physiotherapy modalities, comprehensive myofascial/soft tissue techniques, targeted nutrition and supplementation recommendations, custom-made orthotics, and dry needling.

“I have been going to this practice for over a year. I absolutely love them! My 10 year old son was having issues with his ankle, I called and they were able to work him in the same day. Dr. Eiselt is very personable while providing the best treatment! The staff is very friendly and helpful! So thankful a friend had recommended Dr. Eiselt to me!”  Erica R. Clifton, OH

Why should you see a chiropractor for your sports injury?

A chiropractor will properly diagnose your sports injury and proceed to treat your condition with effective non-surgical, conservative methods. If necessary, we will order proper imaging such as an x-ray or MRI.

Chiropractic care will help relieve your injury by providing individualized treatment to get you back to the sport you love.  The dysfunction or injury may be caused by trauma or caused from faulty biomechanics, which can cause an overuse sports injury.

Our chiropractors have many tools and techniques to treat sports injuries.  We use specific manipulation, myofascial release techniques, and nutritional advice along with modalities such as electrical muscle stim, ultrasound, traction, and cold laser.

In addition, we have state-of-the-art rehab and exercise programs to address the stretch and strengthening component of the injury.  We work closely as a team with our Physical Therapy department to serve our sports injury patients.
