chiropractorsEach component of Mt. Lookout Chiropractic & Sports Injury Center’s healthcare model can be utilized as a standalone approach to pain relief and wellness. Mt. Lookout Chiropractic & Sports Injury Center (MLCC) offers the following services:

Chiropractic Treatment: Chiropractic treatment has been around since 1895, and the term chiropractic means “by hand.” Treatment by chiropractors has grown significantly in the last 100 years, and continues to be on the rise as manual therapy and alternative care become recognized throughout the world. The primary tool utilized by our chiropractors is the adjustment or manipulation. Chiropractic adjustments are applied to spinal and extremity joint restrictions and are vital in the restoration of function and healing of many neuromusculoskeletal pain conditions. Oftentimes as part of your chiropractic treatment, “low tech” rehabilitation exercises are taught that can be performed at home to help maintain the adjustment and strengthen weak/inhibited muscles affected by the condition. There are many additional chiropractic treatment options that MLCC provides. See treatment options under chiropractic services on the main menu.

Dry Needling: Both our chiropractors and physical therapists offer dry needling as a tool in your treatment plan. Dry needling involves the insertion of a thin filament needle to stimulate the healing process of soft tissues, (muscle “trigger points”, fascia, tendons, and ligaments, etc) resulting in pain relief and restoration of healthy physiology.

Nutrition: At MLCC, we encourage our patients to incorporate a healthy diet and lifestyle. We offer two different nutrition programs to meet the needs of all of our patients. We have Dr. Steve King in house, a chiropractor of 20+ years, who has received his Masters in Nutrition. We also have Sarah King on our staff, a certified integrative nutrition health coach and nutritional therapy practitioner.

Physical therapist

Physical Therapy: MLCC offers physical therapy and it is often recommended for the treatment of neuromusculoskeletal pain conditions. Physical therapists (PTs) are healthcare professionals who treat individuals who have medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives. Almost always the patient will work with our PTs to establish a home exercise program.
